Job Description:

CISCO is hiring candidates for the post of Software Engineer- QA Automation (Entry Level)

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate project status, technical issues, and progress with the team.

• Share experience and knowledge to support the team

• Perform routine engineering assignments using fundamental technical concepts.

• Collaborates effectively with own team.

• Contributes to small projects and software features involving coding and testing.

• Develops an understanding of the software development lifecycle and the various agile engineering practices (e.g., requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, acceptance testing), and assists on projects where these methods are applied.

• Analyzes user requirements and works with others to understand impact on technical design features.

• Writes correct code with assistance.

• Supports test code refining and rewriting as part of testing and debugging.

• Assists senior engineers with troubleshooting and debugging software issues.

• Applies secure coding principles and follows secure coding guidelines.

• Supports more senior team members in troubleshooting and debugging issues.

• Proficient in at least one large area of the codebase (multiple services in a pillar) with a high-level understanding of other components.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s + 0 years of previous experience

Required skill:

• Basic knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts within a technical discipline
• Exposure to current technologies through coursework or internship.
• Proficient in at least one large area of the codebase (multiple services in a pillar) with a high-level understanding of other components.
