Sony Career 2025 Responsibilities:

Internships at Sony Research India (SRI) are aimed at offering students with an opportunity to industry exposure and a production level project experience.

The primary responsibility in this role will be to positively contribute to the growth and development of innovative technologies at SRI.

During the internship, you will work closely with software engineers and other team members on various development and optimization tasks across the stack — from backend APIs to frontend user interfaces.

You’ll also gain hands-on experience with deployment, cloud services, and containerization.

In addition, you will be expected to actively participate in daily development activities, such as coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and ensuring robust and efficient application performance.

For this internship program, we are seeking a talented and motivated candidate who can join us as soon as possible for a duration of at least 6 months.

It is essential to have strong coding skill in Python and JavaScript.

Additionally, candidate should have experience in modern web frameworks and libraries such as Django, FastAPI, React, or similar technologies, along with a basic understanding of databases and common AWS services.
Eligibility Criteria for Sony Internship:
- Candidates pursuing or has completed BSc/BTechlevel degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Data Science, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Applications or other closely related technical discipline, will be considered for the internship program.
Preferred skill:
- Prior experience with building and deploying full-stack web applications, covering both frontend (React.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and backend (Python frameworks such as Django/Flask/FastAPI).
- Understanding of RESTful API design, database integration (SQL/NoSQL), and best practices for scalable web services. Familiarity with modern frontend development workflows, including component-based architecture, state management, and responsive UI/UX design.
- Knowledge of containerisation and cloud services, with hands-on exposure to Docker and basic deployment workflows on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including version control (Git), debugging, testing, and code optimization for performance and reliability.
Duration of the paid internship:
- The paid internship will be for 6 months starting October first week of 2025.
- The working hours are from 9:00 to 18:00 (Monday to Friday) fulltime
