UP TGT Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduation with the required subject(s) (50%), or PG in the subject (45%), as given for each subject
- B.Ed or other teacher training qualification recognised by NCTE
- Qualified TET (as per the official notice)
Graduation alone is not enough; the subject combination must match the post.

Under the UP TGT Recruitment, Assistant Teachers get Pay Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) with DA, HRA and other allowances as per UP Government rules.
Selection Process of UPESSC Careers:
Selection in the UP TGT Recruitment is based on the written exam.
Stage 1 – Written Examination
Candidates take a 360-mark offline OMR exam in their subject on 23 or 24 December 2026. The merit list is made on written exam marks.
Stage 2 – Tie-Breaking
If marks are equal, the candidate with higher graduation percentage comes first, then higher training (B.Ed) percentage, then the older candidate.
Stage 3 – Document Verification
Certificates of education, B.Ed, TET and reservation are checked before final selection.
