What does a Software Developer at Astreya actually do?

  • Collaborate with supervisors, system analysts, programmers, and end users to understand program requirements, functionality, data flows, and system interfaces

  • Create and run test cases and test transactions to verify performance

  • Helps to convert designs and specifications into computer code.

  • Analyze defects, resolve issues, and implement code revisions and enhancements

  • Helps to create test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm the program meets specifications.

  • Assists with analyzing code to find causes of errors and revise programs.

  • Helps with designing and coding layouts for onscreen user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.

  • Assist in designing and documenting program specifications based on business and technical inputs

  • Assists with revising programs for corrections, enhancements, or system environment changes.

  • Provide technical support by responding to user queries and resolving application issues

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc / BCA or equivalent)

  • 0–2 years of experience OR fresher with training

  • Programming or computer science/engineering

  • Familiarity with relational database schemas and SQL

  • Modern developmental tools knowledge 

  • Program a software program (windows or web based) that interacts with a relational database.
