What does an apprentice at Microsoft actually do?

• Apply a data governance system using tools such as Azure Purview to ensure data consistency, compliance, and security.
• Combine data from multiple sources to ensure accurate data collection.
• Work with various data formats such as JSON, CSV, XML and ensure suitability with analytical tools.
• Create and maintain data models and reporting solutions to assist business analytics use applications.
• For efficient data organization and discovery across storage systems, create schemas and metadata.
• Use data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) to create effective structures for business intelligence and reporting.
• Review and resolve issues of data governance and quality, ensuring analytics reliable workflows.
• Improve data flows for reporting, including storage usage, indexing, and separation strategies.

• Maintain 365 days mandatory gap if previously completed another apprenticeship.
