Responsibilities of a Systems Administrator:

  • Support the SQL Server Database Administration team in daily operational activities
  • Monitor SQL Server instances to ensure database availability and health checks
  • Perform basic health checks on SQL Server instances
  • Monitor and respond to alerts related to SQL Server
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for common SQL Server issues
  • Assist in handling incidents and service requests through ticketing tools
  • Perform initial issue analysis and escalate complex issues to seniors 
  • Ensure incidents and service requests are handled within defined SLA timelines
  • Assist with SQL Server backup and restore activities under guidance
  • Support routine maintenance tasks
  • Assist senior DBAs during SQL Server patching and upgrade activities
  • Support user access requests
  • Maintain basic documentation and update runbooks for DBA operational tasks
  • Follow standard operating procedures, security policies, and compliance guidelines.

CSG Off Campus- Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in
    – computer science
    – Software Engineering
    – Related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0–1 year of experience in IT support, database support, or related roles
  • Freshers with basic SQL knowledge and relevant training/certifications are encouraged to apply

Required skills:

  • Microsoft SQL Server/MYSQL
  • Basic SQL skills:
    – SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE
    – Simple joins and filters
  • Basic awareness of:
    – Databases and tables
    – Backups and restores (conceptual understanding)
    – Database availability and performance (at high level)
  • Windows Server concepts
  • RDBMS concepts (tables, indexes, constraints, joins).
  • Microsoft SQL Server and SQL/T‑SQL.
  • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Work in rotational shifts and on‑call support model.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in database administration
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Communication skills
  • Willingness to work in 24×7 shift rotations and on-call support
  • Team player with a positive attitude
