Selection Process of Assam Rifles Careers:

Selection will be based on a 6-stage.

1. Physical Standard Test (PST)

  • Height, Chest & Weight Requirements: Category-specific norms for candidates.
  • Mandatory Check: Ensure compliance with CAPF physical standards before applying.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Male Candidates: 5 km run in 24 minutes (timed test).
  • Female Candidates: 1.6 km run in 8.5 minutes (speed and endurance evaluation).

3. Trade Test (Skill Test)

  • Qualifying Nature: No scoring – tests job-specific skills.
  • Focus: Practical aptitude relevant to the role.

4. Written Test (100 Marks)

  • Exam Type: Objective MCQ-based paper.
  • Qualifying Marks:
    • General/EWS: 35% (35/100)
    • SC/ST/OBC: 33% (33/100)
  • Key to Merit: High scores improve final ranking.

5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

  • CAPF Medical Standards: Strict checks for vision, physical fitness, and overall health.
  • Disqualification Alert: Non-compliance leads to rejection.

6. Final Merit List

  • Ranking Basis: Written test marks + performance in PET/PST/DME.
  • Result Declaration: Category-wise merit lists published officially.

Online Test (objective type):

  • The online examination will consist of four tests: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge.
  • The total duration of the examination would be 60 minutes.
