Responsibilities of an Apprentice:

  • Create and maintain KYC records using information collected from internal and external sources.

  • Proactively interact with relationship management teams and compliance to update system with information until final approval of KYC Record

  • Review company formation documents, ownership details, management information, and other relevant documentation.

  • Validate KYC records and Customer Identification Program (CIP) documents for completeness and accuracy.

  • Complete KYC Record incorporating local regulatory requirements / Global BSU Standards and policies

  • Take responsibility for KYC Record and associated documentation completion from initiation to approval

  • Maintain BSU tool current and be able to demonstrate work carried out

  • Report workflow progress to supervisor

  • Keep workflow and KYC tools updated with accurate information.

  • Meet agreed daily targets for KYC Record review and completion within agreed Service Level Agreement timeframes

  • Update workflow database regularly throughout the day

  • Highlight any discrepancies to Senior Case Managers, Control Team and Section Managers

  • Escalate negative news, high-risk cases, or potential compliance concerns to the appropriate teams.

  • Assist with departmental projects and process-related activities when required.

Citi Off Campus- Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • ACAMS certified (an advantage
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in banking, finance, or law

Required skills:

  • Experience in control/risk or Compliance (AML/KYC) function (an advantage)
  • Knowledge of European Union regulatory KYC/AML requirements
  • Flexible enough to work as per Business timings.
  • Previous relevant experience preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of core AI concepts, including machine learning, and generative AI, and their potential impact on the business.
  • The ability to identify and articulate opportunities for leveraging AI technologies to solve business problems and improve processes.
  • Strong Negotiations skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships
  • Strong research skills
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight time frames
  • Proactive, flexible, have good organizational skills and must be team player
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
