CSIR CEERI Job Openings 2026 – Educational Qualifications

Technical Officer (Physics/Electronics) 

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 55% marks.

  OR

• M.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, or Applied Electronics with minimum 55% marks.

Technical Officer (Computer Science) 

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science with minimum 55% marks.

  OR

• M.Sc. in Computer Science with minimum 55% marks.

  OR

• MCA (including Integrated MCA) with minimum 55% marks.

Technician (1) – Electronics Mechanic 

• 10th Pass with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks.

• ITI/National Trade Certificate/State Trade Certificate in Electronics Mechanic.

  OR

• 10th Pass with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks plus 2 years Apprentice Training in Electronics Mechanic.

  OR

• 10th Pass with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks plus 3 years work experience in Electronics Mechanic in Government Department, PSU, Autonomous Body, or recognized organization.

Technician (1) – Electrician/Wiremen/Electrical Fitter

• 10th Pass with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks.

• ITI/National Trade Certificate/State Trade Certificate in Electrician, Wiremen, or Electrical Fitter.

  OR

• 10th Pass with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks plus 2 years Apprentice Training in the relevant trade.

• 10th Pass with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks plus 3 years relevant work experience in Electrician/Wiremen/Electrical Fitter trade.

Technician (1) – Mason (Building Constructor)

• 10th Pass with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks.

Selection Process of CSIR CEERI Careers:

• Step 1: Screening of Applications- Applications will be scrutinized based on educational qualifications, experience, and other eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification.
• Step 2: Trade Test / Screening Test (if conducted)- Eligible candidates may be called for a Trade Test or Screening Test. This stage is qualifying in nature.
• Step 3: Competitive Written Examination- Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Written Examination conducted by CSIR-CEERI.
• Step 4: Merit List- Final merit will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Written Examination and fulfillment of eligibility conditions

Competitive Written Examination (Technical Officer):

• Mode of Examination– OMR Based or Computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination
• Standard of Exam– Graduation/ Post Graduation Level.

Competitive Written Examination (Technician):
