IBPS Clerk Jobs 2025 – Age Limit:
- Minimum age is 20 years and Maximum 28 years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2005 (both dates inclusive
- Age relaxation for the upper age limit is as per the government rules.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC Candidates: 3 years.
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years.
- PWD Candidates: 10 years.
- Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST): 8 years.
- Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years.
IBPS Recruitment 2025 Selection Process:
- IBPS Clerk selection process is based on Preliminary Examination, Main Examination.
- Candidates who cleared cut-off marks of the Preliminary Examination called for Mains Examination.
- The Final Merit List is based on Main Examination Only.
Preliminary Examination: This phase is conducted online and consists of objective-type questions. It tests candidates’ proficiency in the English language, numerical ability, and reasoning ability.
The Total of 100 questions for 100 marks for 60 Minutes.

- Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.
- Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main examination.
Main Examination: Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear for the main examination. The main examination includes sections such as general/financial awareness, general English, reasoning ability, and computer aptitude, and quantitative aptitude. consisting of 190 Questions for 200 marks for 160 Minutes
At the time of Main Exam: Candidates must bring duly authenticated Online Preliminary Exam call letter (with authenticated copy of ID proof) as well as Main Exam call letter. These documents along-with other requisite documents must be submitted during the Main Exam.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary & Main Examination)
- There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.
- For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.
- If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
