What a programmer at Quest Global actually does:

• Understand engineering drawings and develop manufacturing processes for first-time-right production.
• Work with cross-functional teams, local experts, partners and suppliers to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes are understood and accounted for as required
• Conduct supplier audits to improve process efficiency and standardization.
• Investigate non-conformance issues and apply problem-solving methodologies.

Quest Global Qualification:

• Graduate with a Mechanical Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience
• Background in Manufacturing & Shop Floor

Required skills:

• Decision-making capabilities in preparation of process 
• New product introduction in line with the manufacturing launch plan
• Generate cutting tool path and NC program code using
  – NX
  – CATIA
  – ESPIRIT
  – TopSolid
  – Other tool platforms 
• Feature-based machining, turning, 3, 4 and 5 Axis milling, turnmill & VMC 4th & 5th axis fixed or continuous
• Expertise in the selection of cutting tools & cutting parameters for Steel, Aluminium, Titanium & Nickel alloy materials
• Various CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc & Heidenhain)
• Analysis of NC codes post processing
• Creation & customization of post processor
• Vericut, NCSIMUL, Nx and other simulation software 
• Create 3D models, assemblies and drawings in Nx, CATIA, Creo and other tool platform
• Interpret GD&T from model Based definition and legacy drawings
• Read and understand specifications and standards
• Execute tasks in line with the customer quality procedures and production methodologies.
• MS Office tools:
  – MS Excel
  – MS Word

  – MS Project.
• CAD/CAM tools:
  – UG/NX
  – CATIA
  – ESPIRIT
  – TopSolid (Strong Knowledge)
• Verification:
  – Vericut
  – NCSimul
• Product Lifecycle Management:
  – Siemens Teamcenter
  – PTC Windchill 
  – Dassault Systèmes
• Customer Focus
• Problem-Solving Ability
• Good Communication in English (oral & written)

• Self-Motivated & a Self-Starter
• Knowledge on various manufacturing processes
• Fully conversant in reading Engineering & Manufacturing Drawings
• Expertise in high and low volume production with an extensive background in CAD/CAM.
• Sound knowledge interpreting the GD&T (standards ASME Y 14.5, JES 161)
• Sound knowledge on various controls (Siemens, Fanuc & Heidenhain)
• Expertise in creation & customization of post processor
• Able to support root cause analysis and implementation of problem solving techniques
• Working knowledge on concessions, containment procedures and traceability techniques
• Awareness of aerospace (AS9100, various ISO
