RBI Junior Engineer Job Openings 2026 – Educational Qualifications

  • Junior Engineer (Civil):
    – Minimum 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 65% of marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD) + 2 years’ experience
    OR
    – Degree in Civil Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwBD) + 1 year experience or 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical):
    – Minimum 3 years Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering with minimum 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/ PwBD) + 2 years’ experience
    OR
    – Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/ PwBD) + 1 year experience or 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.

RBI Junior Engineer Recruitment – Age Limit

  • Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years as on 01/04/2026, i.e. candidates born not earlier than 02/04/1996 and not later than 01/04/2006 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.

Age Relaxation – Reserve Bank of India Recruitment 2026:

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe – 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) – 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) – 10 Years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years
  • Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried – Upto 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates

Pay Scale for RBI Junior Engineer:

  • Pay Scale: ₹29,000 – ₹78,640 per month (RBI Class-III Grade)
  • Starting Basic Pay: ₹47,700 (including 9 advance increments)
  • Approximate Gross: ₹91,309 per month in the first year (with 15% HRA if no accommodation is provided)
  • House Rent Allowance: 15% of Pay (if accommodation not provided by the Bank)
  • Other Benefits: Bank’s accommodation (subject to availability), allowances for knowledge updation, briefcase, furnishing, dispensary, medical reimbursement, festival advance, LFC, concessional loans, Gratuity, New Pension Scheme etc.

Selection Process of RBI Junior Engineer Careers:

Selection will be through an online examination and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
