SSB Constable Recruitment 2026:

SSB Constable Educational Qualifications:

Constable (Veterinarу)

• 10th class pass with Science as the main subject and
• One year of experience in the treatment of different species of animals, in a recognised Veterinary Hospital

Constable (Driver) only for males

• 10th class pass from a recognised Board, and
• Must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

Constables (Gardener, Water Carrier, Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Waiter

a- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board with Cobbler Tailor,

• Two years of work experience in respective trades; or  One year certificate course from a recognised Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade; or
• Two years Diploma from a recognised Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade

b- Must qualify for the trade test.

Constable (Carpenter)

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Board,
• 2 years of work experience in the respective trade; or
• 1 year certificate course from a recognised Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in ths respective trade; or
• 2 year Diploma from a recognised Industrial Training Institute in the respective trade or similar trade; an
• Must qualify for the trade test

Constable (Nursing Orderly)

• 10th class pass from a recognised Board;
• First Aid certificate course from St. John’s Ambulance Organisation or Red Cross Society of India; and
• Working experience of a minimum of one year as a Nursing Orderly in a minimum fifty-bedded Hospital or Institution recognised by the Central Government or State Governments.

• Constable (Carpenter): 18 to 25 years.

• Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) – 3 years

• Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years
