Role Overview

As a Network Operations Engineer (NOC Engineer), you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure at ZOHO’s data center. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring network performance, responding to incidents, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of services. This role demands strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve network incidents efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal availability using monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Respond promptly to network incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Manage and troubleshoot data center infrastructure and equipment.
• Utilize network protocols and technologies like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN.
• Maintain network security practices and implement relevant technologies.
• Conduct Pcap and DPI analytics using tools like Wireshark to identify network issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Work in 24×7 rotational shifts to provide uninterrupted support.

Skills Required

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
• Proficiency in network management and monitoring tools.
• Experience with data center infrastructure and equipment.
• Solid understanding of network security practices and technologies.

Analytical Skills

• Expertise in Wireshark and similar tools for packet capture (Pcap) and deep packet inspection (DPI) analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

Certifications (Preferred)
