Responsibilities of a Software Engineer:

  • Design and implement embedded firmware for mmWave radar systems.
  • Develop firmware compliant with ISO 26262 (ASIL-D) and IEC 61508 (SIL-3) safety standards.
  • Implement real-time radar control firmware for configuration, calibration and high speed data acquisition on TI’s mmWave radar sensors.
  • Develop fault-tolerant and fail-safe firmware architectures.
  • Implement safety mechanisms and diagnostic coverage for embedded systems.
  • Develop customer RF evaluation applications, tools, and RF test firmware for production tests.
  • Develop easy-to-use and scalable interface libraries to abstract and simplify customer usage of our sensors.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to define firmware-hardware interfaces from a software usage, compatibility, performance, and reuse potential perspectives
  • Develop automated testing frameworks.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for firmware validation.
  • Support customer engagements and provide technical expertise for product integration
  • Support safety audits and certification processes with TÜV and other regulatory bodies.

Texas Instruments Off Campus- Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in embedded systems firmware development

Required skills:

  • Embedded real-time systems firmware programming and engineering principles understanding. 
  • Proficiency with C, assembly language, compilers and linkers.
  • Bare-metal firmware development.
  • Scripting languages like python, perl, lua, etc. 
  • Debugging critical embedded software systems issues with JTAG, trace and logic analyzer tools.
  • Software development life cycles, unit, integration and qualification of the FW.
