Responsibilities of an Apprentice:

  • Design and implement standard-cell digital circuits using industry-standard EDA tools.

  • Develop and validate transistor-level circuit layouts according to project specifications.

  • Perform circuit simulation and optimize design performance using simulation tools.

  • Conduct layout verification through DRC (Design Rule Check) and LVS (Layout Versus Schematic) using Calibre.

  • Debug and troubleshoot existing standard cell library components.

  • Maintain technical documentation, design records, and engineering reports.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality circuit designs.

  • Follow engineering best practices and contribute to continuous process improvements.

HCLTech Off Campus- Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Required skills:

  • STD-cell circuit design fundamentals and digital logic implementation.
  • Familiarity with EDA tools, including Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, and layout verification tools such as Calibre.
  • Fundamental knowledge of transistor-level design and simulation principles.
  • Maintain clear documentation of design activities and results.
