ITBP Head Constable Eligibility Criteria:

Head Constable (Education & Stress Counsellor):

  • Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Psychology as a subject
    OR
  • Degree from a recognized University with Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent.

Head Constable (Motor Mechanic): 

  • 10+2 pass from a recognised Board or Institution.
  • Certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognised Institution or Industrial Training Institute with three years practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop or three year Diploma in Automobile Engineering.

ITBP Head Constable Jobs 2026 – Age Limit

Head Constable (Education & Stress Counsellor):

  • Between 20 and 25 years.
  • Candidates should not have been born earlier than 28th October, 2001 (28/10/2001) and later than 27th October, 2006 (27/10/2006).

Head Constable (Motor Mechanic):

  • Between 18 and 25 years
  • Candidates should not have been born earlier than 28th October, 2001 (28/10/2001) and later than 27th October, 2008 (27/10/2008).

Age Relaxation – ITBP Head Constable Recruitment 2026:

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe – 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) – 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (Unreserved/General)- 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age.
