Responsibilities of a Data Engineer:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining data connectors and ingestion pipelines for various data sources (APIs, Databases, Files, SaaS tools).
  • Prepare the ETL/ELT data for loading, transformation, and extraction into the data platform.
  • Understand source system schemas, APIs, and data formats (JSON, CSV, relational tables).
  • To guarantee data quality and dependability, put fundamental data transformations, validations, and checks into practice.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Perform unit testing and basic integration testing of data pipelines and connectors.
  • Help in debugging data issues, pipeline failures, and sync issues.
  • Particiapate in the documentation of connectors, pipelines, and operational runbooks.
  • Use Git and CI/CD pipelines for code versioning and deployments.
  • Observe engineering best practices, coding standards, and data governance guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior data engineers, QA, and product teams.

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (CS, IT, Engineering, or related field).
  • Experience: 0 – 1 Year

Required skills:

  • Python and SQL knowledge.
  • Data Engineering concepts: ETL, Data Pipelines, Data Warehousing.
  • REST APIs and working with JSON / CSV data.
  • MySQL, Postgres, or similar.
  • Git/version control systems.
  • Willingness to learn debugging, monitoring, and production support for data pipelines.
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Attention to detail.
  • Communication skills.
