What a Programmer Analyst at Citi actually does:

• To identify and describe the required system improvements, apply your understanding of application development processes and ideas as well as a basic knowledge of other technological fields.
• Analyze technical issues, recommend solutions, and support implementation activities
• Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues
• Analyze information and make evaluative judgements to recommend solutions and improvements
• Perform testing, debugging, scripting, and basic coding activities based on application design specifications
• Assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
• Gain a basic understanding of Citi’s information systems, protocols, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
• Follow compliance, risk management, and security standards while supporting business and technology operations, ensuring transparency and adherence to organizational policies and regulations

Citi Off Campus- Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 0-2 years of relevant experience

Required skills:

• The work products developed will run in the IBM mainframe environment.

• Any programming language is required (COBOL, Java).

• This role requires close collaboration with the solution lead, senior application development analyst, and technical InfoSec officer in translating the design into functional code.

• The scope of work includes understanding of the business requirement, application solutioning and design, InfoSec implications, user story ownership, quality, and on-time application deliveries (development, testing and implementation).

• This role will be appropriately guided by the senior programmer analysts from time to time to ensure the work products are delivered on time and with quality.

• Programming/debugging used in business applications

• Knowledge of industry practice and standards

• Comprehensive knowledge of specific business area for application development

• Working knowledge of program languages

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
