IIT Jammu 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu is invited from interested candidates for the post of Project Associate to work on the consultancy project titled “Competency Development Program in Network and Mobile Security” funded by NTIPRIT, DoT. The age limit for this post will be 32 years. The selected candidates will be given Rs. 80,000/- per month. The selection process will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview. IIT Jammu Career 2024 Responsibilities:

    • M.Tech and B.Tech in CSE or IT from a recognized university with 70% and above aggregate score or 7 CGPA and above.
    • PhD. In Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology from a university within NIRF 50 or from an IIT in an area that deals with Web/Network/Mobile Security or in Computer Security or Reliability or Availability Issues.
    • PhD should be received in the above areas within the last 4 years from 31st July 2024.

    Desirable:

    • Can consult or provide competency in areas of software security, systems security, hardware security, threat intelligence etc. with strong fundamentals in Linux and C programming.
    • Have proven experience working on government projects in cybersecurity-related research or competency development activities in a government establishment on cyber security or have done work in competency development or knowledge delivery to working professionals in cyber security courses.
    • Having prior experience in training and teaching will be an add-on.
    • Research works available through publications in the areas of interest mentioned in the essential qualification point 1 will be an add on

    Preferred skill:

    • Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheets.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Flexibility and adaptability.

    Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/women and physically handicapped candidates

    Selection Process for IIT Jammu Job:

    • The selection process will be based on written tests/interviews. 
    • Those passing essential qualifications will be shortlisted for an interview or written test based on the number of applications.
    • The candidates may be shortlisted based on merit and need for the project.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview.
    • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
    • Shortlisted candidates must present themselves for the interview on the interview date with an updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates supporting their academic qualifications.
    • The interview will be held online/offline.
    • The time of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates by e-mail.
