Responsibilities of an Intern:

  • Assist with day-to-day cloud environment operations and monitoring.

  • Support patch management activities for Windows, Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu), and related systems.

  • Assist with basic VMware operations such as VM health checks, snapshot management, and routine maintenance.

  • Support installation and basic upkeep of endpoint security tools such as EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) solutions.

  • Build and maintain basic automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

  • Help maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Raise and track incidents and support tickets through the team’s ITSM tool.

  • Participate in training sessions and shadow experienced engineers.

Kaleris Educational Qualification:

  • Currently pursuing their final year in
    – Computer Science
    – Information Technology
    – Related field.

Required skills:

  • Operating systems — Windows and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) fundamentals.
  • Cloud computing concepts (any provider — AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Networking concepts, especially in a cloud context, are a plus
  • Databases (any of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) are a plus.
  • Scripting basics (PowerShell, Bash, Python) are a plus.
  • Virtualization concepts (VMware) are a plus, not mandatory.
  • Awareness of fundamental IT security concepts (patching, antivirus/EDR) is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow structured processes.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting mindset
  • Attention to detail.
