Trade Apprentice:
- ITI Pass Certificate in the respective Trade.
Diploma Apprentice:
- Diploma or equivalent in the respective engineering/technology stream.
Graduate Apprentice:
- Graduation or equivalent in respective engineering/ technology or general streams such as BA, B.Sc.& B.Com..
NPCIL Recruitment Age Limit as on 06/04/2026
- Trade Apprentice: Minimum age 18 years and maximum 24 years
- Diploma Apprentice: Minimum age 18 years and maximum 25 years
- Graduate Apprentice: Minimum age 18 years and maximum 26 years
Age Relaxation – NPCIL Recruitment 2026:
- Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe – 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) – 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) – 10 Years
- Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years
- Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried – Upto 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates

- Rs 11,040/- (for those who have been engaged after two years of ITI course)

Selection Process for NPCIL Recruitment 2026:
- Merit-Based Shortlisting: The candidates will be selected for training on the basis of marks obtained in their ITI/Diploma/Graduation course.
- Priority Criteria: The following priority will be adopted for selection of Apprentices:
1. Land Losers
2. Local i.e from Radhapuram Taluk.
3. Tirunelveli District
4. Tamilnadu
5. Others - Tie-Breaker: In case of tie in the percentage of marks, the candidate born earlier shall be considered.
