Responsibilities of a Jr. Software Engineer:

  • Analyse and provide impact assessments, including technical design and task breakdown
  • Utilizing time-based methods and story points, estimate work
  • Produce low-level designs to meet functional requirements
  • Participate in technical conversations and solution development
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, secure code in line with Civica’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle
  • Apply SOLID principles in software development
  • Create scalable, effective, and optimized programming and database queries.
  • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects
  • Maintain appropriate technical documentation
  • Respect the ISO 9001 Quality Management System of Civica.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Software Engineering role
