What a Jr. Programmer Analyst at EXL actually does:

• Develop and maintain SSRS reports including tabular, matrix, drill-through, and parameterized reports.

• Design and create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Implement data visualization best practices such as KPI cards, trend analysis, and RAG indicators.

• Optimize reports for better performance and usability

• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes.

• Extract data from multiple sources including SQL Server, APIs, and flat files.

• Perform data transformation, cleansing, and loading into reporting databases.

• Schedule and monitor SSIS jobs to ensure regular data refresh

• Design and maintain data models for Power BI.

• Create DAX measures, calculated columns, and data relationships.

• Validate data and ensure the accuracy of reporting metrics.

• Provide insights and recommendations through data analysis

• Gather reporting requirements from business users, QA teams, and leadership.

• Convert business requirements into technical specifications.

• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions

• Deploy reports across Development, QA, and Production environments.

• Troubleshoot issues related to report generation, data quality, and performance.

• Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and ETL workflows.

EXL Off Campus- Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Required skills:

• Strong experience in:
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
  • Power BI (Desktop & Service)
• Proficiency in:
  • SQL (Stored Procedures, Joins, Performance tuning)
  • Data modeling concepts
  • DAX functions and Power Query
• Experience with:
  • Report deployment pipelines
  • Data warehousing concepts
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Communication with business stakeholders
• Handle multiple reporting requests simultaneously
• Microsoft technologies, exposure to Azure cloud services, and familiarity with Agile methodologies are preferred.
• Communication skills, analytical thinking, willingness to learn new technologies
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams is essential
• Programming concepts, data structures, and problem‑solving.
