Responsibilities of a Data Engineer:

• Develop complex client solutions using programming languages, ETL platforms, cloud technologies, and related tools.

• Own delivery across project phases (design, build, test, deploy). 

• Translate business requirements into technical designs, data models, and implementation plans. 

• Build and configure ZAIDYN data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from multiple sources.

• Implement ETL workflows for extraction, validation, transformation, and loading using platform and cloud-native capabilities.

• Apply business rules to maintain data quality, consistency, and accuracy.

• Define and calculate KPIs for dashboards, reporting, and advanced analytics.

• Deliver analytics-ready data products for BI, reporting, and analytical models. 

• Deliver Agentic AI–ready data products with well-structured features, metadata, and documentation. 

• Partner with leads and global teams (engineering, BI, analytics) to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery. 

• Follow agile development practices, version control, code reviews, testing, and documentation standards.

• Support project/program leads with planning, staffing, risk management, and status reporting. 

• Collaborate with global teams (data engineers, platform engineers, BI developers, and analysts) to ensure seamless delivery. 

• Mentor junior team members and coordinate activities across engineering, cloud, BI, and operations teams.

• Plan and track tasks to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. 

• Contribute to key deliverables (requirements, solution design, prototypes, test cases, deployment and operations plans). 

• Manage internal and client communication for assigned workstreams.

• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and learning across technology, domain, and delivery practices

ZS Off Campus- Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in
  – Computer Science
  – MIS
  – Information Technology
  – Related disciplines. 
• 1–2 years of relevant development experience working on medium to large-scale technology solution delivery engagements, preferably within Pharma or Life Sciences organizations

Required skills:

• Strong experience in ETL development, including building and maintaining data pipelines. 
• Proficiency in SQL for data transformation, validation, and performance tuning. 
• Hands-on experience with Python scripting for data processing, automation, and transformation logic. 
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical models). 
• Data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling, fact/dimension tables, and performance optimization. 
• Experience designing and delivering data products for analytics and reporting. 
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and big-data/ETL tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark/PySpark, Informatica, Talend, SSIS). 
• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to collaborate in global teams and explain ideas clearly. 
• Fluency in English
