About SBI Youth for India Fellowship:
Recognised as the flagship program of SBI Foundation, it is a 13-month long Fellowship that enables the nation’s youth to work on rural development projects in partnership with experienced NGOs. The Program seeks to help India secure an equitable and sustainable growth path by: -Providing educated and passionate urban Indian youth with an opportunity to work along with rural communities and create positive change at the grass root level in rural India. -Providing NGOs working on development projects in rural India with educated manpower whose skill sets can be used to catalyse rural development. -Promoting a forum for the Program alumni to share ideas and contribute to rural development throughout their professional life.

SBI Youth for India Fellowship Responsibilities:

By encouraging young people to work in rural areas, we hope to reduce the rural-urban divide and promote a more inclusive growth trajectory for the country. This can lead to the creation of more balanced and resilient communities, which are better equipped to deal with social, economic, and environmental challenges.

The impact of the Fellowship on society is also contingent on several factors, such as the local context, community participation, and sustainability of interventions. We work closely with our partner organisations and community stakeholders to ensure that the projects and initiatives implemented by the Fellows are context-specific and aligned with the needs and priorities of the communities they work with.
SBI Youth for India Fellowship Eligibility Criteria:
- Any Graduate from Any stream.
- Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen, a citizen of Nepal/Bhutan, or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
- Age: Must be between 21 and 32 years old on the day of program commencement, i.e., born not earlier than 2nd August 1992 and not later than 1st October 2003.
- Education: Must have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree before the commencement of the program, i.e., before 1st October 2024.
SBI Youth for India Fellowship allowance :
- A monthly allowance of 15000 INR for the duration of the program to meet your living expenses.
- A monthly allowance of 1000 INR for the duration of the program to meet your transport expenses.
- A monthly allowance of 1000 INR for the duration of the program to meet your project-related expenses.
- A dedicated provision for language support will be provided at the location.
- A readjustment allowance of 70000 INR upon successful & satisfactory completion of the Fellowship.
- The cost of the 3AC train fare from your residence to the project site location as well as expenses incurred on traveling for training programs shall be covered.
- A health and personal accident insurance policy will also be provided

SBI Youth for India Fellowship Selection Process:
- Registration & Online Assessment: Candidates should submit the online application form, which includes personal details, educational qualifications, work experience, and questions related to personal life experiences.
- Shortlisting: The shortlisted candidates are invited for a personal interview to assess their suitability for the program.
- Selection: The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the online assessment, personal interview and their overall suitability for the program.
- Acceptance and Joining: The selected candidates receive an offer letter, and they need to confirm their acceptance of the offer within a stipulated time. After accepting the offer, they attend an orientation program and join the Fellowship.
