Job Description:

Citi is hiring candidates for the post of Java Developer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of application development processes and technical concepts to identify and implement system enhancements.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues while recommending improvements

• Leverage understanding of business workflows, system processes, and industry standards to resolve complex problems.

• Evaluate different approaches for situations not covered by standard procedures

• Perform testing and debugging, use scripting tools, and develop basic code based on design specifications.

• Assess past experiences and explore suitable approaches in scenarios not covered by standard procedures.

• Build a strong understanding of internal systems, including application development, networking, database management, and system operations.

• Evaluate risks in decision-making while ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and ethical standards, and maintain transparency in reporting issues.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 0-2 years of relevant experience

Preferred skill:

• Programming/debugging used in business applications
• Industry practice and standards
• Comprehensive knowledge of a specific business area for application development
• Program languages
• Written and verbal communication
