Job Description:

NTT DATA is hiring candidates for the post of MS Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage support requests while ensuring incidents are handled according to established service management procedures.

• Investigate, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues using service assurance tools and monitoring platforms.

• Resolve routine incidents by following standard operating procedures and escalate complex issues to appropriate technical teams when required.

• Perform scheduled maintenance activities to ensure the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure and services.

• Utilize knowledge base articles during incident resolution and contribute to updating technical documentation when necessary.

• Track service delivery performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain accurate operational records.

• Analyze service metrics and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and customer satisfaction.

• Prioritize, categorize, and manage incidents throughout their lifecycle until successful resolution.

• Maintain accurate configuration records for hardware, software, and other configuration items (CIs).

• Support configuration management activities by ensuring IT assets remain secure, updated, and properly documented.

• Perform remote troubleshooting to identify root causes of technical issues and assist in implementing preventive solutions.

• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure timely issue resolution and service restoration.

• Provide regular updates to clients through ticketing systems and communication channels until issues are resolved.

• Identify recurring issues proactively and document incidents with complete and accurate technical details.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and service quality

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in
  – Information Technology
  – Computing
  – Related field.
• Associate-level certification in different Data Centre technologies such as Cisco, NetApp, EMC, e.g., CCNA (DC).

Preferred skill:

• Basic understanding of technical documentation and IT support processes.

• Knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and remote console architecture.

• Familiarity with enterprise technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Dell EMC, Avaya, and NetApp.

• Customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs, and network infrastructure.

• Exposure to storage systems, server virtualization, backup technologies, and data center environments.

• Basic experience in remote technical support, incident diagnosis, and troubleshooting.

• Willingness to learn emerging technologies and adapt to evolving business requirements
