Responsibilities of a SDET:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend services
  • Participate in the creation and improvement of automation frameworks
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with developers during feature design and implementation
  • Analyze the underlying causes of production flaws and test failures.
  • Ensure adequate test coverage for new and existing features
  • Participate in code reviews and quality discussions
  • Determine edge cases and raise system dependability in general.

  • Programming skills in
    – Java 
    – Python
    – JavaScript
  • OOPS concepts and basic data structures
  • At least one automation tools: 
    – Selenium
    – Playwright

    – Postman (API)
  • REST APIs and HTTP methods
  • SQL and database validation
  • Familiarity with Git and version control
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts
    – Jenkins
