Job Description:

American Express is hiring candidates for the post of Business Analyst.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support and drive compliance initiatives from the initial problem definition through implementation, monitoring, and follow-up.

• Help ensure adherence to Network and Brand Protection policies and support alignment across authorization and submission processes.

• Manage escalations and support investigations into potential policy breaches or brand risks, with a focus on risk mitigation.

• Collaborate with
  – Partner Managers
  – Regulatory Compliance
  – GMNS Policy 
  – Data teams to drive Network policy compliance across Issuers & Acquirers (GMS & GNS)

• Design and operationalize processes and controls to address compliance gaps and support audit readiness.

• Drive Monitoring KRIs and ensure SLA is met.

• Analyze Network Participant performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunity areas, drive insights to action

• Support development of analytics and automation solutions (e.g., dashboards, monitoring frameworks) to strengthen control effectiveness

• Contribute to governance activities including non-compliance assessments, risk evaluations, and remediation tracking

• Stay updated with relevant regulatory requirements, industry developments, and network compliance changes that may affect business processes and policy adherence.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a Graduate or Postgraduate
• Additional certifications like
  – Business Management
  – Project Management
  – Data analytics
  – Risk/ Compliance
  – Related fields
• 1+ years of relevant experience

Preferred skill:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, logical approach
• Ability to manage initiatives independently and support building processes and controls
• Demonstrates risk and control mindset with focus on mitigation and audit readiness
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
