Job Description:

Indian Coast Guard is hiring candidates for the post of  Navik/Yantrik.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • (a) Navik (General Duty): Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • (b) Navik (Domestic Branch): Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • (c) Yantrik: Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
    OR
    Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)..

Age Limit:  

  • Minimum Age should be 18 Years and Maximum Age 22 Years

The specific date of birth ranges are as follows:

  • Navik (GD) for 01/26 & 02/26 batch: Candidates should be born between 01 August 2004 to 01 August 2008 (inclusive).
  • Yantrik for 01/26 batch: Candidates should be born between 01 March 2004 to 01 March 2008 (inclusive).
  • Navik (DB) for 02/26 batch: Candidates should be born between 01 August 2004 to 01 August 2008 (inclusive).

Age Relaxation: An upper age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates for posts reserved for them

Salary:

  • Navik (General Duty). Basic pay of Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance
    and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulations.
  • Navik(Domestic Branch). Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus
    Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the
    prevailing regulation.
  • Yantrik. Basic pay Rs. 29200/- (Pay Level-5). In addition, you will be paid Yantrik pay @ Rs.
    6200/- plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the prevailing regulation

      • The selection of recruits is based on an all-India order of merit on their performance in Stage-I, II, III & IV

      Stage-II – Based on the performance in the Computer Based Online Examination, a merit list will be prepared and an e-admit card for stage II will be issued as per the vacancies available.

      • Basic Identity Check and Biometric Verfication
      • Assessment Test
      • Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
      • Document Verification
      • Recruitment Medical Examination

      Stage-III- Based on the performance in Stage-I & Stage-II, an all-India merit list will be prepared and a provisional e-admit card for Stage III will be issued as per the vacancies available. 

      • Basic Identity Checks:
      • Document Verification (Provisionally „Pass‟ or „Fail‟)
      • Pre-Enrolment Medicals at INS Chilka
      • Submission of Original Documents, Police Verification and Other Associated Forms

      Stage–IV – The candidates prior to undergoing training at INS Chilka are to submit all original documents during Stage-III and verification of all original documents through Boards/ Universities/ State government etc. will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard.

      Application Fees:

      • For General/ OBC / EWSRs. 300/-
      • SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fee
